Frontera Signal covers what moves construction in Hidalgo and Cameron counties: permits and starts by city, the materials basket, labor capacity, money and the projects that are real. It is written first for general contractors, specialty subcontractors and suppliers.
Independence
Frontera Signal is published by Daniel Estrada (@BuiltByEstrada), a builder in South Texas. Because the publisher builds here, one rule is fixed. Nothing from his own company (bids, costs, clients or projects) is used in an issue, and that company gets the same treatment as any other builder.
No one pays to be included in or left out of an issue. Sponsors, when there are any, are labeled and never see an issue before it publishes. We never publish private bid prices, client names or any builder's internal costs.
