# About Frontera Signal

Market intelligence for the Rio Grande Valley, published from McAllen, Texas, in English and Spanish.

Frontera Signal covers the industries that move the Valley economy: construction and housing, fresh produce through Pharr, cross border freight and customs, retail and the Mexican shopper, health care, and restaurants and bars. Every number carries its date and refreshes on its own schedule, from bridge waits every 15 minutes to monthly sales tax.

We write for owners, managers, lenders, suppliers and the companies that sell to them.

## Independence

Frontera Signal is an independent publication based in McAllen, Texas. Its owner also runs a construction company in the Valley and the BuiltByEstrada tools business. Data from those companies (bids, costs, clients or projects) stays out of every issue, and that construction company is covered the same way as every other builder.

Placement in an issue is never for sale. Sponsors, when we have them, carry a label and see an issue after it runs. Private bid prices, client names and a company's internal costs stay out of every issue.

## Data, reports and the API

The same numbers are open on the [industry pages](https://fronterasignal.com/industries/), in monthly [reports](https://fronterasignal.com/reports/) for people, and through a pay per call [API](https://fronterasignal.com/data/) for AI agents.
